again with the seared ahi
Does seared ahi count as sushi? I had a nice dinne at my friend Ralph's house last night. Ahi prepared with a rub of cayenne, cardemom, and coriander, seared. Served with fresh from the farmers market zuccini from the grill. yumm

In my amateur opinion I would certainly have to say that seared ahi does not count as sushi. However it is delicious, and sometimes the servings at the Whole Foods readymade deli in La Jolla are so barely seared that it may as well be raw.
I would also certainly have to say that Sushi Sluts is my new favorite blog. What a title! Can I tag along some time?

gee thanks! I need to update it. You're welcome to tag along, as an honorary slut, if you agree to post a story or review :-)
Seared ahi is the best thing in the world.
You guys should check out Leucadia sushi bar. It has a campy fun conveyor belt and Toshi does good custom orders.

i, too, bow to your sushi glorification. yay, sushi sluts!
seared ahi and seared albacore... the bright, citrus-y goodness of ponzu makes the latter a hot weather favorite.
speaking of this damn fog this morning...
